Here is a handy tip for you! If you are sitting for a long time, work your gluteal muscles in your buttocks to reduce pain and improve mobility. Sit on the edge of your chair with your back straight and feet shoulder-width apart. Stretch your arms out in front of you for balance and steadily stand up. Bend your knees and gradually sit back down. Repeat this in a controlled manner for 10 to 20 repetitions. If possible, take short five-minute movement breaks every 30 to 45 minutes. You can also switch between sitting and standing at work. If you have a standing desk, stand up while you’re taking phone and video calls, or doing any kind of work that doesn’t require sitting. If you don’t have a standing desk, you can still stand up and walk around during a phone call. Additionally, incorporate stretching exercises like head turns, and ones that involve your arm and trunk in your work routine, especially if you’re sitting for a while. This can be used as an active break to help prevent neck and back aches.
